In Spring 2024 the BC NDP was unable to distribute the federal funding to childcare providers due to implementation issues. This resulted in MILLIONS of Cash left underutilized.
The BC NDP had to ask the Federal Government to roll over unspent childcare funding as they couldn’t disburse the money to childcare providers within the allocated time frame. While BC Families struggle with affordability issues the BC NDP leave money on the table!
